“ What a great place, I had Tahchin Baghali Polo and it was one of the best Iranian food I ever had, we also celebrated my father’s birthday and service was great and they made his birthday memorable. I totally recommend it. I’m from Brisbane and would definitely come back for it. ”
“ We visited Nikan Restaurant in Ryde and had a mixed experience. The manager genuinely tried her best to find us a table, though we felt a better option was available. We ordered the $330 family dish, which looked impressive in size, but as someone familiar with authentic Iranian cuisine, I was disappointed with the taste. The flavors were quite bland compared to other Persian restaurants I’ve tried. Service was average—staff were well-dressed and attempted to be professional, but it didn’t feel entirely polished. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, which was a plus. One of the biggest letdowns was the Sholezard (Persian saffron pudding)—it was not impressive at all. I would honestly rate it 1 out of 10. Overall, while the presentation and setting were good, the food quality didn’t meet expectations. Not sure I’d return ”
“ 100% recommend this place! This is the best rice I’ve ever had in my life! I love the kebabs, it’s a lot of food enough for two to eat in the same plate, but the food was so good that somehow I managed to eat almost all of it by myself! The bread and the garlic yogurt was delicious as well! Love everything! ”
“ 27/6/25 - 3 stars Seems like this is a fairly well known and popular Persian restaurant. I was recommended by a friend and certainly, upon arrival, it has some grandeur. Staff are friendly and helpful, though, I would say service can be a little tardy. Food was an unique experience for me, but, wouldn't say it entirely suited my tastes, notably , the yoghurt drink (sorry can't remember the name). Overall, not bad flavours but quite expensive and not good enough for me to want to come back. Entree: SS, 9/10. Actually quite liked the warm pita, mint, walnut and feta cheese. Came complimentary (not sure which dish) Yoghurt drink: C, 5/10. Must be an acquired taste as it was very salty and sour. $8. Yoghurt with cucumber: A, 7/10. Light and plain. $11 seems a bit much. Nikan Special Lamb backstrap: S+, 8.5/10. Solid Lamb/beef mince: A, 7/10. A bit dry Chicken thigh: SS, 9/10. Most juicy. Rice: S, 8/10. Decently fluffy. Value: B, 6/10. $52 is excessive. Lamb stew Flavour: S+, 8.5/10. Pretty deep but not much meat... Texture: S+, 8.5/10. Like the beans and the gravy like consistency. Needs more meat. Value: B, 6/10. $26 yet quite small. Too much rice. ”

“ First time for me to a Persian restaurant. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Happy to recommend this one although I cannot really compare to others. Taste of the food is great, spicy and juicy. Try the combination of lamb, chicken and beef, with the saffron rice that with the yellow colour add something really nice to watch before you have your first bite. The drinks also were all new to me. I enjoyed this experience ”

A massive portion of 4 different rices, and different meats its definitely worth it if you have 5 people or more as we had to get takeaway. It was great as we could try many of the different meats and flavoured rices. The yogurt drink was a bit salty and a unique taste but paired well with the meats, it's not for everyone as i found it ok to drink. ”
